Verses - Psa. 27:14

Psalm 27:14 "Wait for the LORD; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the LORD."

The Hebrew word here means, “be strong.” That is, do not faint. Do not be dismayed. Still hope and trust in the Lord.

The object is to trust in the Lord; to rely upon Him; to come to Him in trouble and danger; and to wait for His intervention when all other resources fail.

We have great reason to be of good courage, since God is for us; Christ is the Captain of our salvation. The Holy Spirit, that is in us, is greater than he that is in the world; angels encamp around us. We are provided with the whole armor of God. We are engaged in a good cause, are sure of victory, and shall wear the crown of righteousness.

And it follows, therefore, the believer can wait for God in all times in the assurance that He will strengthen his heart.
