Collection: Praise - Mugs

What is “Praise?”

Praise is humble adoration of our Almighty God. It recognizes God’s exalted position and divine qualities. Praise voices sincere and deep gratitude for who God is and what He has done. During praise we submit ourselves to the One who is worthy of praise. And we express devotion to the One whose love is unfailing.

Why should we praise God?

God not only commands us to praise Him, He made us for that very purpose. We're created to worship the Creator. God made us for Himself (Colossians 3:16) and He formed us for His glory (Isaiah 43:7). Our eternal purpose is to glorify and worship the Creator in relationship with Him. God created us with this purpose and it drives everyone worship. Everyone follows this drive. However, many don’t understand that God is the one who we were created to worship, and they end up worshiping something other than God.

Benefits of praise:

  • Praise focuses our hearts and mind on God and reminds us of who He is.
  • Praise builds a place for God to inhabit in our daily life and makes us aware of God’s presence with us.
  • Praise moves the worries of the day to a more appropriate level of priority.
  • Praise reminds us of God’s personal involvement.
  • Praise is a vocal expression of our dependence on God. When we are focusing on His abilities, reliance on our own abilities is replaced with His.
  • Praise conditions our hearts to accept God’s joy and peace.
  • Praise helps build hope and encouragement.

Tools for evangelism

The other purpose for these Christian coffee mugs is to draw attention. You see, they're written in Greek. Who knows how to read Greek? Well, you do, at least the Greek writing on your coffee mug. You know what it says, and you can give an answer to those who ask what it means. This gives you a chance to share your faith. You can tell those around you about why you praise God. Today if you are drinking from the “αγαπη θεός” coffee mug which means the “Love of God,” you can tell how you have experienced His love firsthand. You can plant that seed in the hearts of your those you talk too. Consider it a bonus that they were the ones who came asking you.
