The God of heaven is our God; and He has all power, and that power is pledged for our protection. This is a reason why we should not be afraid. God is our protector, so of whom should we be afraid? ‘If God be for us, who can be against us?’ What higher relief can we desire than the assurance that He is with us to protect us?

We can exercise grace, withstand corruptions, resist temptations, bear afflictions, endure persecutions. All this according to the will of God. And if God is the strength of His people, we do not need to be afraid of any persons or things.
