Wisdom

When He gave us the kingdom, He also included in that everything that comes with it, including “Wisdom”.

Wisdom is not only knowledge; it is the practical use of that knowledge in any given situation. Wisdom is the ability to judge accurately and follow the best course of action based on any knowledge of the situation that may be available.

The kingdom of God also comes with access to wisdom not based on the natural tendencies of our mankind. It is wisdom which comes from an eternal viewpoint. It comes from a viewpoint that is not clouded or tainted by all the darkness, destruction, and self-interests we live through each day.

Real wisdom is ready to be revealed at any given moment as we approach our Father in heaven with the dilemmas we encounter. Our natural self-preservation tendencies cannot hope to match the wisdom which comes from Him. And which I might add is freely given by Him to all who ask believing He will provide it.

James 1:5 “But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.”

Luke 12:32 “Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.”

And in this world, we need as much wisdom as we can get. It’s also something that comes with God’s kingdom or at least access to that wisdom. Better still access to the one who has it and is eager to give it to anyone who asks Him for it.

So, when we ask, “Thy Kingdom Come” we are asking for all that comes with it as well. Wisdom is what God gives to all who seek Him so they may be able to make the most of the life He has given.
