ThyKC - ThyWBD: Thy Kingdom Come, Thy Will be Done.

This is part of what we call the “Lord’s Prayer”. This prayer expresses the desire of His people that God would “reign” everywhere. We want the gospel of Jesus Christ to be heard everywhere. Besides being a prayer of exalting Him, it also focuses our attention on our need of His active involvement in our life. It’s a prayer where we confess our dependency upon Him.

When we pray, "Thy kingdom come,” we are asking that our Heavenly Father make good on His promise to send Jesus again to set up His righteous kingdom here on this earth. And we can look around today and already see how desperately we need that to happen.

Part of that can be accomplished now as we submit to His rule in our own lives. We live as examples of a life ruled by our heavenly Father and His holy Son Jesus Christ.
