Mercy
Our entrance into the kingdom of God was accomplished through His mercy. He accomplished our entry because we were unable to do so through our own efforts. All our righteous deeds are nothing but filthy rags.
His mercy is continually being showered on us throughout the day. We can often stumble throughout our day, yet His mercy keeps ahold of us, so we are not cast off. The mistakes we make are often overshadowed by His mercy which does not allow us to experience the full weight of the consequences of our mistakes. Certainly, we experience some consequences to teach us not to continue to make the same mistakes. But much of the weight of it often is taken up by Him as He exhibits His mercy over and over throughout the day, often unnoticed or acknowledged by us.
The Kingdom of God is a kingdom of mercy.
Eph. 2:4-5 “But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our wrongdoings, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved)”
Luke 12:32 “Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.”
