Abundant Life

The Greek words for “Abundant Life” are περισσός ζωή and pronounced per-is-sos' Dzo-ay'.

Luke 12:32 “Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.”

When He gave us the kingdom, He also included in that everything that comes with it, including “abundant Life”.

The word denotes that which is not absolutely essential to life, but which is added above basic life. It carries the idea that abundant life is way more than just existing or simply living. It contains the idea of all that is added to make life … greater than normal.

Those who have abundant life do not merely have life - simple, bare existence - but they shall have all those things which are needed to make that life eminently blessed and happy. It is an extraordinary expansive mercy to keep people merely from annihilation or hell; but Jesus will give them eternal joy, peace, be part of the company of those included in His kingdom. This is what can be experience now; in this life time. We don’t have to wait until we pass on.

So, when we ask, “Thy Kingdom Come” we are asking for all that comes with it as well. Abundant life is God pouring on us more than we could ask or think in regards to what we can experience as life.
