Seals! We’ve all seen them. Whether in person on the ocean shore or on documentaries. They literally cover beaches. They resemble giant slugs as they ooze from place to place to find a good place to soak up some sun. The other side to the story is the noise. They seem to always be bellowing and shouting. But what are they saying when they bellow like that? Are they shouting at each other? Praising God? The call to repent?

There are scriptures which say the animals cry out to God for their food and He provides for them as they need.

Job 38:41 "Who prepares for the raven its nourishment when its young cry to God and wander about without food?"

Psa. 148:10-13 “Animals and all cattle; Crawling things and winged fowl; Kings of the earth and all peoples; Rulers and all judges of the earth; Both young men and virgins; Old men and children. They are to praise the name of the LORD, For His name alone is exalted; His majesty is above earth and heaven.”

Perhaps the seal will be one of the beasts of the field which will be tasked with helping kill one fourth of the earth’s population as spoken of in Rev. 6:8. Their playful antics in the water can be misleading. They are dangerous animals and can easily dispatch those who decide to frolic with them. It would be appropriate for seals to call men to repentance before it gets down to it gruesome business.
