The Lord our Banner

He is the one our lives are meant to reflect. His truths, values, judgments and standards are what governs and direct how we live. We live under His direction and in defense of His truth. He is our Leader and by His direction we stand, and in His name and strength we conquer.

Jehovah is our rallying point. In Him we put our hope and trust. The banner is a focal point where we can be reminded of who we put our trust in. Remember Jehovah is self-existing or eternal. Our hope is eternal because He is eternal. The Lord gives us the victory in spiritual warfare. When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Lord raises a banner of His love over us and covers us. He wages war on our behalf and makes us more than conquerors in Christ Jesus.

When Nissi is added to a name like Jehovah, it means the eternal God is our Banner. It also means that Jehovah is eternally our banner. He is our banner 24-365. There is no point during the day or throughout the year when He is not going before us. He leads us in victory in every circumstance or situation.
