Victory:

The Greek word for Victory is nikos; pronounced “nee-kos.”

It’s so easy to see all that’s bad and getting worse. Bad news gets rating so that’s what we get. It’s no wonder so many feel overwhelmed by all that goes on around them. But when you add to that all the weirdness going on in this country and the rest of the world, it can be almost unbearable. When one crisis is over, two or three seem to rise up to take its place. How do we manage to keep our sanity and hope for anything to get better when all keeps getting worse.

But then there is God. He plans for our victory over the stuff we face. He enables us to conquer.

1 John 5:4-5 ”Because everything having been born of God overcomes the world, and this is the victory overcoming the world, our faith. Who is the one overcoming the world except the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?”

As Paul says, “Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or trouble, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? Just as it is written: “FOR YOUR SAKE WE ARE KILLED ALL DAY LONG; WE WERE REGARDED AS SHEEP TO BE SLAUGHTERED.” But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us." (Rom 8:35-37)

Just as Jesus overcame He has given us to overcome and have victory over all that concerns us. But those without Jesus can see Christ have victory on their behalf as well. We can pray and ask the Father to reveal His glory by giving them victory.
