He doesn’t have to say, “You’re on your own”. We’ve been on our own for a long time, but not because God has deserted us, but because we deserted Him. Yes, the devil can really mess this world up but truthfully, we humans don’t need much help along those lines.

We can do a real number on ourselves too. I believe much of the bad stuff that happens to us is not a result of the devil messing with us. Much of it is the consequences of our own decisions and actions.

Unfortunately, all the big stuff God has to deal with isn’t going away anytime soon. The longer the enemy is at liberty the worse this world is getting. I hope you’re not thinking you have to wait until God is done with the bigger stuff before He will get around to you. If He is, I have to tell you, you’ll be waiting a long long time.

The good news is that there is nothing too big for God. And He is not preoccupied with all the mess the devil or we humans can make of this world. He knows how to handle it. He is not pacing in His boots wondering what to do. And best of all, none of it is distracting Him from you. Your problems may be small compared to what going on around the world, but they are still a big deal for you. And God knows it.

They're a big deal to Him as well because He cares for you. You are important to Him. And He has more than enough time to hear and help you. Whether it’s a big issue or a small one, God is never preoccupied or distracted to the point where He cannot see to your need.

Jer. 32:17 “Ah, Lord GOD! It is you who have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm! Nothing is too hard for you.”

Jer. 32:27 “Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh. Is anything too hard for me?”

What’s more He instructs you to come to Him in those times of need

Heb. 4:16 “Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”

1 Pet. 5:6-7 “Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.”

You never have to worry about coming to Him. Bring all that is on your heart, big or small, He cares and has time for it all.
