We have a lot of cold-hearted people in this world. People who just look the other way when someone they see may be in need. It’s not their problem they think. And in a way they're right. They may have had nothing to do with the person getting into trouble and ending up in a situation where they find themselves. I can’t count the number of times I’ve watched the news showing people just walking by others being beaten up and mugged. It seems to be common place, it’s part of our social norms.

But that’s not the norm for the kingdom of God. He doesn’t ignore our troubles or our pain. Even if it's (and it a lot of times it is) our own fault we end up in the situations we do, and need help getting out. Not only does He not turn His back on us, He calls us to come to Him with those troubles. He wants to make our problems His

Jesus said in Matt. 11:28-29 “Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.- Come to Me all who are weary and heavy laden.”

Peter says 1 Pet 5:6-7 “Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time; casting all your anxiety upon him, because he cares for you.”

Psa 55:22 “Cast thy burden upon Jehovah, and he will sustain thee: He will never suffer the righteous to be moved.”

There is even a warning about not showing mercy. Those who walk by looking the other way showing no mercy, are in for a surprise. He will show mercy to those who show mercy. Those who show no mercy will not be given any mercy.

James 2:13 “For the man who has had no mercy will be judged without mercy, but mercy takes pride in overcoming judging.”

We may say it, but God Never Says … IT’S NOT MY PROBLEM!
